social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

insects 4 / insekten 4

base for this page was a marbled paper i had gotten from jane dickinson some time ago. (i always had saved these papers "for eternity", they seemed too beautiful to cut up. but now i dared...) background stamping with leonardo da vinci´s reverse script (by lost coast designs). stamped on transparency   and melted the edges of the acetate to add a bit interest. now it was a bit tricky to fix, which i did then with staples (colored black for invisibility). as the butterfly stamp is in the style of da vinci´s vitruvian man, i named the page accordingly;) edges oil pastels.

  1. This is wonderful! I too am guilty of hanging on to the lovely papers (often hand made/decorated, like this) that people send me because they are so beautiful. But it is a good idea to make use of them, especially when the results are as good as this!

    Hugs,

  2. Love this! I had never seen a vitruvian dragonfly before, it's cool! I recognize the paper hoarding ;-)
