all saints´ and all souls´ day approaching...
this week´s texture tuesday asks for at least 2 textures from kim (i used andThenSome, inked, and magic) - crazy amigos´ theme is remember (font old london) and the three muses want to see wings.
the foto is from a trip to freising´s graveyard in august.

You can run, but you can’t hide any more, ‘cause I’m casting my curse!
And I never do a thing that’s bad if I can do it worse.
these are lyrics from a theatre/musical performance from pantomusicals.uk, where i also found the poster with the bats. i layered it with a texture from shadowhouse creations (black magick) and used the font cramps.

i found this postcard on a flea market a while ago. the backside tells me the photo was taken by aglaia risch, 1984 in belgium. i started a google research, but could not find out more about this photographer...

last week nancy donaldson provided an encaustic looking texture for use in photo editing. i instantly fell in love with this and finally found the time to play on some of my pics... it is so addicting!!
thank you so much, nancy - and i hope you enjoy these altered photos...

there are still raspberries in the forest... i layered this picture with 2x kk_word and one layer of kim´s canvasblackmagic texture. the textures over the berries were erased via layer masks. please check out the other contributions of texture tuesday here.

the upcoming theme for take-a-word is blackbirds... so i made this storyboard with photos of the magpie my cat killed recently. positioned some bodyparts on spray painted backgrouds and arranged the squares digitally.
(the biologist in me knows that magpies belong to the bird-family of corvidae, but the "real" blackbirds are turdidae. but both are in the order of passeriformes... so far about things you did not want to know *g*)

i´m linking these snail photos to PAF showcase this week oct 7th - oct 9th --- take your time to visit the other contributions, great photo art there!
on the second one i used bonnie´s medieval magic texture. i decided to turn it into a faux postage stamp (which i often do with my pictures), adding the stencil std font.
i´d like to offer this as a freebie for you to use... just print it out in a small format and cut it with stamp scissors (fiskars f.e.). i really love to personalize my mail/art this way...

laden with fruit...
for mankind, birds... plenty of it for everybody...
so "gratitude" is a perfect word for this week´s TT challenge:
there is no exact equivalent to the german term "altweibersommer". it translates literally "old ladies´ summer", but actually it is deriven from "weiben" = "weben" in modern german, which refers to spiders´ webs. it comes closely to the "indian summer", which actually is a bit later and is associated with the colorful autumn leaves. well, we have the sunniest weather here, i could take photographs from morning to night (and i hope tomorrow will come my new camera...).
