social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

PAF - nov 4th - 6th

i often work quite cumbersome in achieving a certain result (to tell the truth: too lazy to read or explore instructions...). same here. i found the grid background somewhere online and thought that looks awesome. couldn´t figure out how to get my photos into the rounded edges. so i gave my pics a black ttv-frame first, then i could fiddle them into the black placeholder. sure there are better methods;) but as i said: cumbersome. that´s what i am sometimes. but i get my results;)

the colored splashes are brushes, easy to make.

when i shot the blossom photos in spring i had no idea that i would dig into photo-editing this year. and i enjoy it so much!

find more altered photos at the showcase "friday photo art".

  14. I'm like you - if I don't "get it" or find the instructions simple, I dive straight in and find a way to make it work for me! So, these are awesome! I must go have a look at PAF... You know you are guilty of encouraging my passion for textures...!!!!
That little wood with the bat boxes is fantastic - it's in a tiny village, really quiet and only local kids play there, so the bats are pretty much undisturbed. They used to fly round our garden in the evenings when we lived there - they were like very big moths! We have some living in the roof of the house we rented. We also had honey bees living in the walls - it was a very weird house!
