texture tuesday: white

theme at TT is white for this week. i took two photos of a birch: one with the bark and one of the tree without leaves.

recipe: added kim´s if only texture three times (twice in soft light blending mode, once in linear burn at 28%). then came the tree with blending mode luminosity (35%) and a levels adjustment layer. font viner hand itc.

take a word: mail

base of this mail art card is a photo i took from my bathroom window when we had a wonderful rainbow and the sun put a glow onto the houses... texture above is from the generous jerry jones of shadowhouse creations. some selfmade brushes added.

SPA: birthstone

born in the sign of cancer, i have two main birthstones: the moonstone (my bracelet here) and the amazonite (which is turquoise like this spray painted background.

the moon series: harvest moon

the last but one in the full moon series: september is harvest moon - "Farmers could continue harvesting until after sunset by the light of the Harvest Moon"

kim´s texture felicity layered twice (blending modes difference and darken) on top of a photo of exotic fruit.

the moon series: strawberry moon

the full moon of june is the strawberry moon: "Strawberries were ready to be picked and eaten" - the background is spray painted in turquoise, which is theme at take-a-word this week.

texture tuesday: happiness

this week the showcase of TT should be around the word "happiness".

i had a very happy moment last thursday when i came home from work, hungry as usualy, and didn´t have to cook because my son had prepared this delicious meal in his tajine (just rice, carrots, paprica, zucchini, a tomato and basil... oh so yummy!!)

the photo on the top contains kim´s textures canvas back magic and primmed (as the base for the text), the lower one is made with kim´s if only.

[it´s so good when the kids grow up and can help out their mum;)]

i hosted a nick bantock swap (postcards) this month and all participants will get this faux postage i made for them exclusively (to be cut out with stamp edge scissors after printing). of course the red writing will not be printed;)
