social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

three-muses-challenge: grunge background

well, grungy backgrounds are one of the works i like to do most
coming from grunge background to grunge music;)
nirvana came to my mind
glassine pockets on the left side of the spread,
a composition of kurt cobain photos on the right

the album "nevermind" (released on 24. sept 1991) sold over 30 million copies worldwide. nevermind was responsible for bringing alternative rock to a large mainstream audience, and has been ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time by publications such as rolling stone and time.

  1. I so much enjoyed the story of the making of this - the background, making the unusual stamp, association with Grunge music, the tags - what a creative mixed media piece, Johanna.

  2. Definitely a grunge background - quite an unusual challenge and you have risen to it! Your carved stamp is great, and amusing that making the slight error fitted so well with the words 'Never Mind'. What would we do without black pens to help us out of a hole!
Thanks for your very nice comment on my post.
