social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (mondays/tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

take-a-word: beautiful

last week we had some sunny days and if time allows i spend them in my small garden doing my favorite things: spraying or tinting some backgrounds (here a braille book) and watching the flowers grow (i´m a lazy gardener, i only have perennials;))
going around i found some leftovers from last autumn´s physalis: i´m always surprised how these beautiful fragile skeletons withstand the snow masses! anyway, i saved them and bringing them to the desk with the braille book it was clear i had to take a photograph.

SPA "taped" / take-a-word "sea"

the photo with the blowfisch (> take-a-word) is taken in the rembrandt house in amsterdam. there is a cabinet of curiosities the artist used for painting, as a lion skin, an armadillo and such on.
i taped (>SPA) the photo (digitally) onto a background from sbg&shadowhouse and added various brushes and elements from sbg and jessica sprague. font: mom´s typewriter

moo-mania: numbers

as said, i´m busy going through my amsterdam photos to make a photoalbum. but how could i miss this challenge, as numbers are one of my favorite themes and i always photograph many of them in the streets of cities.
here i used the "111" together with elements from sbg (cvisions you are worth it & sspar irespectme)
and "184" also with elements from sbg (tangie bestiarybeetliespaper & several from cvisions you are worth it)

take-a-word: botanical

i´m just back from 5 days in amsterdam - it was a really wonderful trip and the weather was sunny, but the wind was awefully chilly. we felt as wimps, as the amsterdam people sat out in front of the cafés, but we had woolen caps on and were shivering and quivering. anyway, good tourist weather to check out the museums and cafés - and not so overcrowded like it will probably be in summer.
now i will have to deal with the photos for a while to make a photobook... but when i saw the new theme for take-a-word i thought i could at least show some pics... too cold (as in the rest of europe in this long cold winter without spring) for flowers to bloom already, but we were in the botanical garden - photos above. the first photos i took were so misty, until i realized it was the high humidity that fogged up my lens...
and of course, there are flower bulbs to buy everywhere, here on a big market along of a canal.
