social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

pixelated masterpieces

well, i´m absolutely not Feeling the urge to paint like the old masters (as painting just isn´t what i´m striving for), so i took a Twist on this month´s theme at ajj...
the mastermind behind These creations is Marco Sodano, who created These copies of the masters with lego-bricks.
of course you would have "seen" the originals by squinting your eyes... but i needed a Little something to fill the pages - so i came up with postal stamps of the paintings.

Background made with gelli plate + embossing Folder (colored in and stamped upon the pages);
Alpha stamps teesha moore

  2. Tolle Idee, gefällt mir sehr gut. Sodano muss viel Geduld haben um solche Sachen aus Legosteine herzustellen! Dir einen schönen Tag, Danke fürs Mitmachen bei Art Journal Journey. GLG, Valerie

LG Ulrike

  6. This is SO clever. What people won't make using alternatives to paint. Legos are fun, fun, fun and you did a great job interpreting Sodano's art, and introducing me to the artist at the same time.
