social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

set your course by the stars...

another Piece - not for the blanket, but for the scroll Journal(s)

the Quote reads: "Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship."
  Omar N. Bradley

circle on the right is sponged with Acrylic paint, circle on the left stitched with the running stich (sashiko) in blue... i LOVE These stitches, they are so meditative... you can do this sitting in the garden or anywhere...

  4. This is such different textile art - it is art using textiles.
I like the way you have made the words (a typewriter?) and outlined them, and the way you have used the lovely photo, I wonder if it is on fabric or paper. That's very good the way you have stitched it on.

    1. hi sheila,
the words are made with font "adler" and typed on old ledger... the photo (free from some old online library) is printed onto 100g paper. i pre-sew the outline without yarn in the machine, just making holes, so i can easily stich the edges by Hand. next time i will take Detail photos of the process.
