social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

the heat is (was?) on...

high degrees here (mid-30°ies) in the south of Germany...
if i can avoid going outside, i do... but that is not always possible.
now thunderstorms are predicted and i hope they won´t be too cruel and leave us with temperatures a bit bearable.

the sun stamp is one of my very first eraser carvings almost 20 years ago...
acrylic inks, also for stencilling the Alpha.
meditative stitching...

the swallows soar high These days... but i got one down to my fabric...
Clip art Image copied with this blue tracing paper onto Cotton, then stitched along the lines.

  1. I am so envious of your heat! I never likes hot summer days while in Italy, but now that I live in a chilly and damp country (highs of 15 in July, ouch!) i do miss the sun, the heat... even the sweat, LOL! Your sun art work is lovely, and the swallow is superb! :)

  2. Your sun is HOT. And so is your latest SUN filled stitched beauty. Of course, the swallow is simply divine. And it's the perfect color, too.

  6. I love your sun stamp and your stitched swallow is just so beautiful, Johanna.
We were having a good summer until yesterday when the temperature dropped and we had rain all day (we did need it though!).

  7. Your sun stamp is so sweet, and could be very useful I think, and who wouldn't love your stitched swallow, it's brilliant.
