social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (mondays/tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

floating windows

these Windows (> ajj) seem to be floating in the Pond of the botanical garden -
as this other Picture Shows:
yesterday it probably was the last really hot day (~30°c) of the year in munich.
lots of dragonflies and even lizards (all of them too fast for my camera) enjoyed the heat, and so did i.

wonderful feathery grasses,
here accompanied by hibiscus cannabinus
fantastic seed pods (above: peony)

and a variety of fiery oranges and pinks to mark the finale of summer.

and all broke down in the afternoon: rain sat in, it became stormy and temperatures dropped.

GLG, Valerie

  2. Your window aj is amazingly beautiful and fascinating. Great interpretation of Botanic garden's magical beauty.
Thanks for lovely flower pohotos, too.
Have a great weekend, Johanna ♥

  3. Lovely idea with the floating windows, and I especially like the grasses with the hibiscus, you have captured the softness of the grass-feathers.

  4. I like how the windows seem to float as they are reflected in the water. What a beautiful building. Your Botanical Gardens are gorgeous and so full of life, even for this time of year.

It rained here today for a few minutes, and all I got was more humidity. I had to close Sally's car so the rain wouldn't get in, and also the recycle bin. Then it stopped as fast as it started, and the heat and humidity were even more oppressive.

  8. What wonderful photos, Johanna, and a beautiful, beautiful place.

  9. Love the fabulous floating windows, a clever idea, Johanna! Mar. :)

  10. Wow, that palace in the botanical garden looks awesome! :) And how many lovely plants and flowers, a joy for the eyes! We had never reached more that 18 degrees here in Scotland this summer, and now it's already quite cold (the high is just 10, brrrr). Have a lovely new week ahead.

  11. What a gem your photos are. I love flowers and gardens although I don't have green things. Beautiful!

    LG Carola
