i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (mondays/tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

spring has sprung

with the exception of one rainy day (last tuesday)
we had wonderful spring weather.

so time to spend outside
(and no time found for the muster-mittwoch challenge...)

it was chilly in the Mornings, but then lots of sun
and we even could sit on the terrace to have cappuccino and cake.
here a yummy Lemon tarte one of my friends had baked:

the birds are in full Action,
so my medieval embroideries are influenced by this:

obviously the cats also have their scuffles, as sunday morning timmy came home refusing to strain one of his paws. he only hobbled on three legs and we were afraid one could be broken.
so we went to the emergency consultation hour at our vet on sunday afternoon.
but the vet calmed us. she found bite traces (we had not seen) at his shoulder, so obviously he only took a relieving posture to avoid pain. antibiotics and a painkiller injection will hopefully do their work.

the sun already put me in the mood for sun dyeing, but that definitely is too early and too cold.
but i can hardly wait for the day i can start again.
so instead i prepared some tea bags and onion Skin dyed some glasses-cleaning papers for further use.
no fear to run out of stuff in this house:)))

  8. I am in love with your dyed glass cleaning papers. I never get that much color from onion skins.

Like you, I can't wait to resume my sun dyeing processes, and maybe some eco-dyeing, too. And those tea bags are remarkable. Much prettier than mine.

Spring has really begun in your part of the world. It's all so beautiful, and I was in awe that you could sit outside and enjoy the afternoon cappuccino and lemon tart. Thanks for sharing these goodies with us for T this Tuesday.

Tolle Stickereien! Sei lieb gegrüßt von
    Susi
    Happy T-Day !!!

  17. What wonderful medieval embroidery, Johanna! I hope Timmy will be okay. It's a good thing you took him to the vet so quickly, before infection could set in. I'd never heard of dying glass cleaning wipes for mixed media. Another fun thing for me to-do list ;-)

    Yay, spring! Yay, lemon tart!!

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  18. There's nothing more enjoyable than sitting outside with a warm (or cold) drink and a pastry. I hope timmy is well soon. It's always a worry when they are not well. My cat, Sophie is straying further from my yard as she grows. She has come back twice with a sparrow, but luckily they flew off when she dropped them. Now it's a new worry for the birds. Love your bird embroideries.
